Sitting at the very top of Tower Terrace (under the suites, in the shade), right above Jimmie Johnson’s pit box (he’s actually about 4 stalls down, but I don’t know who drives the Farmers Insurance car).
Free tickets and free parking make for a good time, regardless of the series racing.

You were correct. We left at about lap 60 due to a combination of a boring race + the sub was starting to encroach on our seats. Of it weren't for the sun, we would have stuck it out, but it was very, very hot.
